Weekend Itinerary: Dahlonega Girls' Trip

We went to Christmas in July in Dahlonega, which has Hallmark stars, like Chad Michael Murray, in July,

and fell in love with this beautiful small town!

Friday: Arrival & Downtown Charm

• Afternoon: Arrive in Dahlonega and check into your accommodation. We love The Smith House.

• Late Afternoon: Begin exploring the historic Dahlonega Square. Browse the unique boutiques and specialty shops, like the Dahlonega Fudge Factory or Cranberry Corners for unique gifts.

• Evening: Freshen up before dinner at Public House Kitchen for American fusion and craft cocktails in a chic setting.

• Night: Continue the fun with a unique evening activity, such as a ghost tour offered by Dahlonega Walking Tours, which combines local history with paranormal stories. 

Saturday: Wine & Dine

• Morning: Enjoy a relaxing morning and a hearty breakfast at your lodging.

• Day: Embark on a wine tour of the Dahlonega plateau. Many services offer customizable itineraries to visit several of the area's 8 wineries and 12 tasting rooms.

• Evening: Enjoy an upscale dinner with a gorgeous view at Montaluce Winery & Restaurant. We had an incredible time and they have excellent service!

Sunday: Nature & Relaxation

• Morning: We had a lovely breakfast at Dahlonega Resort and Vineyard.

• Late Morning: Indulge in some well-deserved pampering. Book appointments for a spa treatment at a local spot like Jolie Day Spa & Salon or the spa at the Mountain Laurel Creek Inn for a relaxing end to your trip.Alternatively, hike to a nearby waterfall, like Amicalola Falls, the highest in the Eastern U.S..

• Lunch: Grab lunch at a local spot like the historic Smith House, known for its classic, family-style Southern cooking.

• Afternoon: Depart for home, rejuvenated from your mountain getaway
