Nashville, TN: A Family Day Trip

This one-day Nashville family itinerary focuses on downtown highlights, offering a mix of music history, iconic sights, and interactive fun.

Morning: Downtown & Music History

We alwaysssss start with Breakfast at Loveless Cafe—it’s a tradition!

  • 10:00 AM - Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum: Start downtown exploring interactive exhibits and music history suitable for all ages.

  • 11:30 AM - Walk of Fame Park & Ryman Auditorium: Take photos at the Walk of Fame Park and walk past the historic Ryman Auditorium. 

Lunch: Nashville Flavors

  • 12:30 PM - Broadway & Lunch: Walk down the famous Broadway strip to experience the atmosphere. Grab lunch at a family-friendly spot offering local Nashville Hot Chicken or barbecue. We enjoyed Morgan Wallen’s.

Afternoon: Culture & Green Space

  • 2:30 PM - The Parthenon: Head to Centennial Park to see the full-scale replica of the Athenian Parthenon, a great spot for kids to run around.

  • OR go to Lucky Ladd Farms, we loved the animals and butterfly farm. It’s less than an hour away!

Evening: Music City Vibe

  • 6:00 PM - Dinner at Farmers' Market: Visit the Nashville Farmers' Market for a variety of local dining options or we enjoyed the Aquarium Restaurant!

  • Get Dessert at the Legendairy Milkshare Bar, yummmm

  • 7:30 PM - Grand Ole Opry (Optional): End the night with a show or backstage tour at the Grand Ole Opry for a true Nashville experience. 

Family-Friendly Tips

  • Consider using the Hop-on Hop-off Trolley for convenient transportation between sites.

  • For a unique, non-music activity, the Lane Motor Museum offers an extensive collection of unique cars.

  • We loved staying at the Hutton Hotel, and they’re super dog-friendly! We also love the Gaylord Opryland Hotel.
