focuses on downtown highlights, featuring interactive museums, scenic parks, and local culture. Key stops include the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, Marbles Kids Museum, and Pullen Park, all within a short drive of each other.
Morning: Downtown Discovery & Exploration
North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences: Start in downtown Raleigh exploring interactive exhibits, including the terror of the South (dinosaurs) and local NC wildlife.
Lunch: Grab a bite bite at the museum café OR our fave, Raising Cane’s!
Afternoon: Active Play & Interactive Fun
Marbles Kids Museum: Head to the nearby Marbles Kids Museum for hands-on, imaginative play for kids.
Pullen Park: Drive over to Pullen Park, one of the oldest in the country, to ride the carousel and perhaps take a pedal boat ride on the lake.
Evening: Dinner & Relaxation
Dinner: End the day with a family-friendly dinner at one of the many restaurants in the nearby Glenwood South or downtown area. We enjoyed City BBQ.
